How to Disable Nepomuk & Akonadi | Semantic Desktop

KDE 4.8.x:

nano ~/.kde/share/config/nepomukserverrc and set "Start Nepomuk" to false like this:

[Basic Settings] Start Nepomuk=false

nano ~/.kde/share/config/kdedrc and set "autoload" to false for nepomuksearchmodule like this:

[Module-nepomuksearchmodule] autoload=false

nano ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and set "StartServer" to false like this:

[QMYSQL] StartServer=false

KDE 4.10/11:

1.- Go to the "System Settings" and search for "Desktop Search"
2. Uncheck at least the file and email indexer. You can also disable the "Nepomuk Semantic Desktop" like this:
